This playlist invites you to take action on gender equality in your community, helping you understand the challenges around gender stereotypes and inequalities and how you can contribute to creating a fairer, more inclusive society. Through a series of engaging activities, you’ll explore gender roles in daily life, challenge harmful stereotypes in media and social media, start conversations about gender equality in your community, advocate for inclusive spaces, and support local gender equality initiatives.

Each activity helps you develop essential skills like critical thinking, communication, advocacy, collaboration, and media literacy—all crucial for promoting gender equality in your everyday spaces. Whether you’re reflecting on personal experiences, creating content to challenge stereotypes, or leading conversations in your community, this playlist equips you to take meaningful action towards gender equality.

This playlist supports and encourages learning, recognition, and action contributing to the European Youth Goal #2: Equality of All Genders.

Once you’ve completed all the activities and earned your badges, you’ll automatically receive the playlist badge, recognising your overall achievement and contribution to the European Youth Goal No. 2: Equality of All Genders.

You’ll use art, photography, poetry, music, or other forms of creative expression to convey your views on gender equality and challenge gender stereotypes. Whether through painting, writing, or performing, creativity can be a powerful tool for raising awareness and starting conversations about gender issues. By engaging others through your art, you’ll encourage reflection and inspire action towards a more gender-inclusive world.

This talk explores how art and artists can challenge social norms and drive cultural change, providing inspiration for using creative work to address social issues like gender equality..

“We Should All Be Feminists” by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie (TEDxEuston).
This iconic TED Talk blends literature, storytelling, and advocacy to challenge gender norms and offer a new understanding of feminism and equality, serving as inspiration for using personal voice and creative work to drive change.
Now, take action:
Through these activities, you’ll discover how creative expression can be used to communicate powerful messages about gender equality. You’ll gain confidence in using your art to raise awareness and inspire others to take action towards a more inclusive world.
Participate in an art showcase: Attend or virtually engage in an art exhibition or event that highlights gender equality, and share your thoughts on how the artwork impacted your understanding of the topic.
Create gender equality-themed art: Use any artistic medium (painting, poetry, photography, music, etc.) to create a piece of art that reflects your thoughts or experiences related to gender equality.
Share your art through social media: Share your artwork or re-post creative expressions by others on social media and use it to spark a conversation about gender equality. Encourage others to reflect and contribute their own creative pieces.
