Make a plan with your coach on which tasks you will perform to master the following skills:
  • discussing methods to protect personal data and privacy in digital environments;
  • discussing methods to use and share personally identifiable information while protecting oneself and others from harm;
  • identifying privacy policy statements describing how personal data is used in digital services.

Examples for developing these skills:
Digital privacy and data protection are important topics in our increasingly connected and digitized world. Protecting our personal data is essential to safeguard against identity theft, cyberattacks, and other risks. Fortunately, there are several simple methods that we can use to protect our privacy.
  • To start, you can become aware of what personal information you share online and with whom. It's important to be cautious, for example, with sharing your birth date, address, phone number, and other sensitive information.
  • It's also important to use strong passwords and change them regularly to prevent your account from being hacked.
  • You can also use privacy settings on social media platforms and other digital services to determine who can see your information and how it is used.
  • Always read the privacy policy statements when signing up for digital services to understand how your personal data is used and shared.
  • Also, consider the personal data of others when sharing information online. Always ask for permission before sharing personal information of others and ensure that you respect their privacy.
  • So it's important to be aware of the risks and threats of digital privacy and data protection and to use simple methods to protect yourself and safeguard our privacy.

But it doesn't stop there - increase the value of your badge by adding your learning process and achievements to your badge. This allows potential employers to gain a better understanding of your digital skills.
